Funding Assistance

Community Services administers a variety of funds available to all groups, including the following.

Creative Communities New Zealand Arts Fund

Available for projects associated with art at a local level.  Applications close on the 7th August.  Please email us if you would like more information.

Council Community Grants

A fund is available to community groups to assist them with operating and project costs.  Applications close on the 31st July each year.  Please email us if would like more information, including criteria.

Funding Information and Advice

Fundview

Fundview is a comprehensive database that helps you identify how you can apply for Community Funding and who you can apply to.  You can search by District, Project or  Activity that requires funding, which results in a list of appropriate funding schemes.

Then you can look at each scheme for Contact Details, Criteria, Information, Application closing dates, Interval between application and decision making, Funds available etc.

BreakOut

BreakOut contains details of awards, scholarships and grants available to New Zealand individuals for personal development, prinicpally in academic, artistic, research and sporting fields.

Both Fundview and BreakOut can be accessed for free from the Upper Hutt City Library.
